SING!

1 March 2009 · 1 Comment

Well, Sing has finally come to a close, and I am so proud to be in ATO tonight! We did such a good job and I am really happy with how it all turned out—a People’s Choice for Best Theme, and an invitation to Pigskin! Sure, it would have been great to place, but it’s great to know that the act will still be performed again next year in Pigskin, and honestly, that’s what really matters. For me, Sing is partly about the competition, but mainly about putting on an entertaining show. Congratulations to all the acts that made it to Pigskin, especially Sing Alliance and ADPi, two of my personal favorites. Sing is something that I am really going to miss once I graduate, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to do it in the first place (and do it so well)!

But Before That Can Happen…

8 January 2009 · 2 Comments

I must actually graduate. And that is looking kind of dicey at the moment. As you may or may not know, I have to write a thesis this semester, and well, things are going pretty slowly right now. I’ve been researching alot over the break, reading lots of papers, and it just seems like each time I look I find more and more information, but none of it is really want I need to find, and honestly it’s soo much that I just don’t know where to begin anymore.

It’s kind of like cleaning your room, but each time you put something up you find a hundred other things that need your attention as well. The deeper down I go, the deeper it seems to get. And so I lie awake at night, thinking “Robert…you need to be researching…” and it’s just really discouraging, not to mention tiring what with the not sleeping and all. Hence this 3AM post.
